I thought this was a good concept, an identifying strap and lock all in one and it does work. However, after I put it on my bag it was obvious that the lock didn’t really provide much security as the whole top was more or less available around the strap, but then locks are to keep honest people out.
The locking mech. is a little awkward and if you don’t get it exactly right you have trouble changing the dials off your combination. Also, some how I apparently didn’t get the lock right once and the strap was the first thing on the carousel at one of the airports. I think I have mastered it and will continue to use it but I will also still use a regular lock as well.
